Who Had the Highest H-D Sales?

by Jason on December 6, 2007

If I asked you to name the H-D dealer with the top sales for 2006 what would pop into your mind? A large city dealership in the likes of Los Angeles perhaps? Maybe a shop located just beyond the facory in Milwaukee even? Nope, not according to Karen Jowers of the Air Force Times. It turns out the dealer with the most H-D action is none other than the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES).

Harley-Davidson presented the AAFES with a pair of (made-to-order) Army and Air Force Harley gas tanks in recognition of the exchange service’s status as the top-selling retailer of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, outselling by far any other retailer in the world with more than 3,450 motorcycles overseas in 2006. In comparison, only five Harley-Davidson dealerships sold more than 1,500 motorcycles last year.
