December 12, 2007
The state of Wisconsin is handing over more than one million dollars to Harley-Davidson in effort to lessen the environmental impact of its new museum (set to open next summer).
The funds will be derrived from a grant from the state of Wisconsin’s department of commerce to the tune of $1.25 million.

The concept behind this program is to provide funds to municipalities, local development groups and private companies to help return contaminated lands to use. The additional funds are to be used by H-D in starting the museum’s development off on an environmentally friendly foot.
