Motors TV Harley Davidson Nightster Review

by admin on November 20, 2007

Pretty cool review of the Harley Davidson Nightster from Motors TV. Of note, you can see that the European version of the bike has the traditional center-mounted plate instead of the side-mounted, fold-away license plate that you see in the States and Canada. I’m assuming that’s to comply with traffic laws across the pond, maybe someone who lives in Europe can confirm or not! Too bad that they had to remove the side mount plate as it’s one of the really cool features of the Nightster along with the bobbed fender, ultra low seat and rubber fork gaiters.

Unfortunately you are right: many european countries forbid the side mount of the plate. It must be visible from rear at a very wide angle.
Too bad, the side plate looks way cooler then the one we got here.

I have had many bikes in my life … ranging from sport (R1 and R6) to a few BMWs (which I love) and several wanna be Harleys. This is my first HD.
I have ridden Road Kings and other bigger Baggers and other full-dress Harley offerings, but chose the Nightster for its simple elegance and easy ride. With just a few tweaks (Screamin” Eagle bits) it is perfect. HD I am hooked!
